Despite the fact that striking members of the actors’ union SAG-AFTRA are not allowed to carry out promotional activities during the strike, an exception is made for certain productions. The films are all independent productions that have not been produced by members of the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers, with whom SAG-AFTRA is currently still negotiating better working conditions.
Caleb Landry Jones, Mads Mikkelsen and Jessica Chastain are also among the stars attending the upcoming Venice Film Festival. Landry Jones is present for the film ‘Dogman’, Mikkelsen for ‘The Promised Land’ by Danish director Nikolaj Arcel and Chastain is there for ‘Memory’ by Mexican author Michel Franco.
