FC Dordrecht – Excelsior 1-3
Excelsior was already leading ten goals after two games, but had only collected three points. The crazy match against Almere City last Sunday was lost 4-6.

Marinus Dijkhuizen’s team started the game badly against Dordrecht. The Schapenkoppen took the lead after ten minutes by a goal from Kevin Vermeulen. It could also have been 2-0, but Excelsior held on. It took a while before the Kralingers managed to turn things around. Elías Ómarsson equalized in the 43rd minute and even gave his team the lead in injury time.
Dordrecht was still fully involved in the second half and had a great chance of the equalizer in the final phase. Excelsior was there in time to end the game. It eventually became 1-3 by Thomas Oude Kotte.
FC Volendam – Young FC Utrecht 0-1
Volendam is still waiting for the first victory of the season. The first game of Telstar was not won and on Friday Wim Jonk’s team went down against Jong FC Utrecht: it became 0-1.
The team owes the fact that Volendam lost entirely to itself. In the first half in particular, the home team was much too sloppy and many opportunities were missed. Jonk’s team had many great opportunities in the first half, but was not sharp enough to finish one of them.
It did not get any easier for Young Utrecht when Oussama Alou was sent off with a red card after kicking Boy Deul. Nevertheless, the visitors took the lead after an hour by a goal from Hicham Acheffay, who crowned himself as the match winner.
