“O la la, now we’re here”, sings Nicolay Ramm. The Ski Association in Oslo votes in:
– We have seen an unusually early start to the ski season, and we are happy about that, says communications manager at the Ski Association Trine Rom Giving.
The Ski Association is responsible for 2,200 kilometers of groomed trails in Oslo and surrounding areas.
She says several have put many miles behind them already:
– It is a great honor.

Giving recommends
Tours to Svartbekken and Mylla in Nordmarka Tours in the Romeriksås, you can start from Brovoll or take the train to Grua: – Here it is often good skiing from early to late in the season. In Vestmarka in Asker it is nice to walk from Solli or take a ski trip in Ringkollen. view more
Bergen: – Looks very promising
There are also unusually good skiing conditions in the area around Bergen.
– Usually we have rain in November. This is very, very early!
That’s what Terje Riple says, who owns the parking lot at the light trail in Totland, and runs the Facebook group “Totland light trails and parking” with over 20,000 members.

On Saturday, 28 kilometers of trails were run up, according to Riple. With top-up snow today and glorious, cool weather ahead, Riple has great faith in the ski season.
– It looks very promising, and it will be great weather for the rest of the week!

Riple recommends:
The trip up from Totland to Livarden: – If it’s clear, you can see from Fløyen, around the centre, Øygarden and all the way to Tysnes. No place in Bergen has a better view! It’s great conditions up there now. Light trail ride between Totland and Frotveit. view more
Sauda: – There are opportunities for those who want!
– How are the skiing conditions at your place?
– Right now it is snowing, and it will snow until tomorrow morning, says Lars Reidar Fosstveit at Sauda ski centre.
He says they have already prepared the ground. With the cool weather, they will start snowmaking from Monday.
– It looks very promising. We hope to get the family lift up and running by the weekend!

If you are a cross-country skiing enthusiast, there is at least a mile of trails in Slettedalen, says Fosstveit. He says many are eager.
– Someone ran down from Ravnafjellet yesterday, and found good snow. There are opportunities for those who want!
Tromsø: “Looks very good”
In Tromsø too, you just have to put on your glasses quickly:
– We have excellent skiing conditions. It’s been a long time since we’ve had such early snow, says deputy chairperson of Tromsø Ski Club Cross Country, Birgitte Gustavsen.

She estimates that half a meter of snow has fallen in the last week and a half. There is so much that Gustavsen hopes it will last:
– So far, it looks very good.
Gustavsen says the light trails on Tromsøya, Kvaløya and in Tromsdalen are open.
She says many people have also made it to the summit, but that there have been many falls:
– People probably go to the safest places.
Trondheim: – Great skating activity!
Trondheim, on the other hand, has not been as lucky with the snowfall.
– We haven’t had any snow until Wednesday, which was, says operations manager at Trondheim ski club Eirik Telebond.
For the most enthusiastic, he says there is 1.3 kilometers of artificial snow on Granåsen, and 25–30 cm of snow in the upper parts of the town park.
– There are opportunities at the ski center in the town square, and at Nilsbyen.
If you want to get good conditions, he recommends traveling to, for example, Røros.
Telebond does not have much faith in much snow in the future either. But, he has other recommendations:
– We have been able to skate around most of the water in the last two weeks. There is great skating activity!
– Winter weather type
The Meteorologist also brings good news for skiing enthusiasts:
– We are entering a cold period for the whole country and will have such wintry weather, says on-duty meteorologist Per Egil Haga.
– Where there is snow now, it will remain in the future.
