The Honda ADV150 produced by the nation’s children has officially become the operational vehicle for the Mandalika MotoGP race, including the World Grand Prix and the Idemitsu Asia Talent Cup (IATC). A total of 72 ADV150 units produced by PT Astra Honda Motor (AHM) will pass around the Pertamina Mandalika International Street Circuit on 19-20 March 2022.
AHM explained in his official statement, in the long awaited racing event for world racing lovers, the ADV150 will be used to mobilize all international racers, teams, and race event organizers at the pride of Indonesia circuit.
The symbolic handover of 32 ADV150 units was carried out by Kresna Murti Dewanto, Marketing Manager of Main Dealer Astra Motor NTB to the Director of Operations and Business Innovation of PT Indonesia Tourism Development (Persero)/Indonesia Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) Arie Prasetyo in the Pertamina Mandalika International Street Circuit area ( 4/2).
Previously, AHM had handed over 40 units of the Honda ADV150 which had first become the official scooter for the World Superbike (WSBK) event in November last year. In addition to handing over ADV150, AHM also handed over 1 unit of CBR250RR. All of these vehicles will be used as circuit and non-circuit operational motors at The Mandalika.
“The presence of the World GP racing event in Mandalika, where Indonesian racers will also race in the Moto3 GP class and the Asia Talent Cup is certainly a matter of pride for this nation. We hope that the presence of the Honda ADV150 as the official vehicle in this highest international racing event can support activities drivers, crew and teams,” said General Manager Marketing Planning and Analysis AHM Andy Wijaya

ITDC Director of Operations and Business Innovation Arie Prasetyo said, “We thank AHM for supporting the 2022 MotoGP event at The Mandalika by providing an additional 32 units of Honda ADV150 and 1 unit of CBR250RR. We will use this vehicle as well as possible for operational needs. on the field, so that the entire series of MotoGP Official Test events in February and the Grand Prix of Indonesia race weekend in March will run smoothly.”
“In line with regional developments including the increasing number of international events at The Mandalika, the addition of this vehicle will certainly provide flexibility for the mobilization of our operational team throughout The Mandalika area,” Arie added.
Honda ADV150 has been exported abroad in the form of CBU (Completely Build Up) and CKD (Completely Knock Down), such as exports to the Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, to the Americas in Brazil.
Meanwhile, the CBR250RR is a motor sport created by the nation’s children who has led AHM fostered racers to achieve achievements in the racing arena of the Asia Road Racing Championship. The motorsport fairing with the 4-Stroke, 8-Valve, Parallel Twin Cylinder engine has also been recognized for its quality with sales abroad, namely in Malaysia, Thailand and Japan.
