Ex-WWE star Big Cass returns after crash

He’d retired from the public for a year and a half after a frightening alcohol drama. Now former WWE star Big Cass is back – and in mega form!

At the weekend, CaZXL, as it is now called for copyright reasons, celebrated a surprise comeback at an independent league in the city of Lyons in Georgia.

At Lariato Pro Wrestling, he was the surprise partner of Hernandez, who was best known for his appearances at Impact Wrestling (TNA), and competed with him against the duo Luke and Perry Hawx. Cass presented himself in excellent physical condition, his muscles are now more defined than they ever were at WWE.

There was also a reunion with Enzo Amore, who was also present – who immediately advertised himself to bring him and Cass back to the national stage.

Big Cass had fallen deep after the WWE out

The 34-year-old Cass (William Morrissey) was released from WWE in 2018 after various backstage incidents. He later reported serious personal problems with depression and alcohol addiction, which almost killed him, and suffered a dangerous epileptic seizure while on a show in late 2018.

The attempt to overcome his problems – with the help of ex-wrestler Diamond Dallas Page, who now works as a kind of life coach and who had already helped Jake “The Snake” Roberts and Scott Hall (Razor Ramon) out of their alcohol problems – suffered one in September 2019 Setback: Cass showed up at a show in New Jersey in an uncontrollable state and was eventually taken away by police. After that, he was not heard from for 18 months, not even on social media.

The comeback chance gave him the former WWE colleague Luke Gallows, who is now active at Impact and AEW. Gallows is the person in charge at LPW.

Enzo Amore at Cass’ side again

Cass’ first statement after returning suggests that he’s now had a successful rehab (# StraightOuttaStep12) – and his formidable physical condition suggests he is aiming to get back on a bigger stage.

Cass’ childhood friend and ex-partner Amore (now: nZo) clearly wants that, he tweeted a photo together and retweeted a fan request that Impact should sign him and Cass.

Amore had been fired from WWE in the same year as Cass, apparently because of the allegation of failing to inform his employer of the now-closed investigation into a rape charge against him.

Amore seems to be down at WWE, at the latest when he disrupted the major event Survivor Series 2018 with an unsolicited self-presentation. The board member responsible for personnel policy Paul Levesque (Triple H) answered comeback rumors about Amore and Cass in 2019 with the unusually clear statement that he had “zero interest”.
