However, the past still haunts the actor. In a recent interview, he mentioned his relationship with ex-wife Jennifer Garner, with whom he has three children. He told of an ill-fated conversation with Howard Stern in which he blamed Garner for his alcoholism.

Fans quickly reacted to the star’s words and defended the actress, saying that Ben already had a problem with alcohol before he met his ex-wife, and his words about Jennifer are very unfair.

Two years after the memorable interview, Ben Affleck decided to explain his statement, saying that he did not want to hurt his ex-wife, with whom he now has a friendly relationship. The actor calls the whole conversation “a very painful experience.”
