Ex-Raider Derek Carr is set to join the New Orleans Saints

Derek Carr was an NFL quarterback for the Oakland and Las Vegas Raiders for nine years, but the 31-year-old will appear for another team for the first time in his NFL career next fall.

On February 14, the Raiders made Carr’s release official, but even before that, several teams scrambled to sign the quarterback – but only one team can get the contract.

And that team will be the New Orleans Saints, according to consistent reports from various NFL insiders. The Louisiana franchise had invited Carr to visit before he was fired. The Saints will sign Carr to a four-year contract.

In addition to New Orleans, the New York Jets, Carolina Panthers and Indianapolis Colts, where Bernhard Raimann is under contract, are said to have had hopes of a commitment.

Carr was drafted by the Raiders in 2014 as a second-round pick (36th). During that time, he led the Raiders to the playoffs twice and was selected to the Pro Bowl four times.
