Former Premier League striker Carlton Cole has suggested that Thomas Tuchel “doesn’t like” Tammy Abraham and should leave Chelsea.
After impressing when he was loaned out to Aston Villa in 2018/19, Abraham broke into ChelseaThe first team of the following season under Frank Lampard.
The forward has scored 15 goals for the Blues in his 34 league appearances.
Ten Premier League clubs that have benefited the most from transfers …
Abraham scored six more Premier League goals last season, but started just 12 times in the top division.
The forward is expected to leave Chelsea this summer and they value it at around £ 40 million.
Carlton Cole, former West Ham forward, has discussed Abraham’s future with talkSPORT. It suggests that the Chelsea man is not valued as much as he should. Thomas Tuchel:
“You get to a point where you have to know what you are worth.
“He has been loaned and has done very well at Aston Villa, Swansea and came back to Chelsea and did well. They still do not appreciate him as they should or as he believes they should be valued.
“He did not play in the backend last season and obviously it is not in Thomas Tuchel’s plans because he did not play.
“Tuchel doesn’t like him and I would look at other options if I were him and said ‘let me go and be the main man somewhere.’
On the other hand, Paul Merson has suggested that Chelsea are among the four contenders for the Premier League title:
Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea can win the title; It’s a four-way battle for the Premier League crown and I don’t expect any of them to get away with it by a double digit margin.
“In my opinion, Chelsea need an attacker. I don’t know what the deal is with Erling Haaland, but they need someone who can score 20 Premier League goals per season.
“Timo Werner is a different type of player, he is a willing running back who works hard for the team and is very selfless.
“However, it doesn’t seem like someone who can score 20 goals a season, so it will be interesting to see what happens there.
Manchester United have already signed Jadon Sancho, but they could use another midfielder.
“Whatever happens in the transfer market, as I said before, I expect a very close title race in the Premier League.
“Another important thing to keep in mind is when the great players return to their respective teams after their international commitments.
“Many Premier League stars represented their country at Euro 2020 and America’s Cup this summer, so they could miss a few games at the start of the new season.”
