A man from Co Monaghan has been denied bail following allegations that he attacked his ex-partner and threw a bottle of urine at her. The man is also accused of slashing the tyres of his ex-partner’s car and breaching a barring order. He appeared in court where the judge rejected his bail application due to fears he may interfere with witnesses or re-offend while on bail. The prosecution argued that the man poses a risk to the victim and the community, while the man’s defence claimed he had no intention of contacting the victim or breaching any further orders. The case will continue at a later date.
