Opposite that “The Obi One Podcast” Evra, who played for Manchester United from 2006 to 2014 and won five championship titles and the Champions League once, revealed that Alex Ferguson wanted to usher in a new era at the Red Devils with two ambitious transfers.
“That was one of the saddest days. I didn’t cry, but I was in shock,” Evra said of Ferguson’s resignation on May 8, 2013. “The reason is that he called me into his office two weeks before [und sagte]: ‘Patrice, look at these people. They think I’ll quit. I’ll stay for another ten years, but we have to win the Champions League more often. He said: ‘Patrice, Cristiano Ronaldo has 99 percent agreed to return, and Gareth Bale [auch].”
