Ex-Liverpool player: Chelsea owner wants to play with club in Football Manager?
–
Former Liverpool and Wales striker Dekan Saunders criticized the new owner of the London “Chelsea” Tod Bowley.
“Bowley now owns Chelsea, but why is he putting himself at the top? Does he want to play Football Manager? Some of these club owners are like in Football Manager, it works like this – you choose your team, buy any players and choose the right tactics yourself.
But later thoughts arise: “What if we bring this game to real life?”. The problem with the owners is that they’re trying to play Football Manager in a real football club,” TalkSport quoted Saunders as saying.
Remember that on February 26, Roman Abramovich handed over the management of the club to the trustees of the Chelsea Charitable Foundation. On March 2, he announced that he intended to sell the club. On March 10, the British government imposed sanctions on Abramovich. The Russian businessman’s assets, including the football club, have been frozen. On May 26 the football club was sold to Bowley.
