German handball mourns Reiner Witte. The long-time President of the Bundesliga and Vice-President Legal of the German Handball Federation (DHB) died on Friday after a long, serious illness just two days after his 68th birthday surrounded by his family in Langwedel, Lower Saxony. Witte worked as a lawyer and entrepreneur and contributed his legal knowledge from 2002 to 2008 as DHB Vice President Legal. From 2008 to 2014, the former Bundesliga and national goalkeeper (five international matches) was responsible for the fortunes of the 1st and 2nd Bundesliga men as league president before he resigned for health reasons and Uwe Schwenker succeeded him. | 03/21/2023 13:58
