Just after the singer’s pregnancy announcement, Mark Vincent Kaplan, Kevin’s lawyer, shares a short statement about the happy news from Britney. “Kevin is aware of the Instagram message,” the lawyer tells NBC News† “He wishes her all the best for a happy, healthy pregnancy and congratulates her and Sam Asghari as they plan for exciting parenthood together.”

Kevin and Britney have two sons together: Sean Preston, 16, and Jayden, 15. They were married for three years until they filed for divorce in 2007. Kevin has primary custody of the two boys due to Britney’s health and thirteen-year conservatorship. Britney has a close relationship with her sons and regularly spends time with them.

That Britney would love to have another child, she said last year during the lawsuit against her father, who demanded as a trustee that she wore an IUD and should not become pregnant. Since mid-November, the singer has been allowed to decide her own life again and she has set her sights on a marriage and baby.
Her fiancé Sam Asghari is in seventh heaven, he says via social media. “Marriage and children are a natural part of a strong relationship made up of love and respect. Fatherhood is something I have always wanted and take very seriously. This will be the most important task I will ever fulfill.’
