Known as Mehmet Aurélio in Turkey, the former steering wheel defended the Flamengo between 1995 and 2001, but not highlighted. From there he made a career in Turkish football, defending Trabzonspor, Fenerbahçe and Besiktas.

Jorge Jesus was officially introduced by Fenerbahçe on Friday. He signed a one-year contract with the Turkish club and will have the mission of making the team national champions again, something that has not happened since 2014.
