Ex-Dynamo Dresden: Heinz Mörschel moves to Hungary to Újpest FC

Ex-Dresden

After leaving Dynamo Dresden last summer, Heinz Mörschel found a new club. The 25-year-old will play for Hungarian first division club Újpest FC. Unlike in Germany, it is still possible to sign non-club players in Hungary even after the end of the winter transfer window. The offensive player scored three goals in 26 games in the 2nd Bundesliga for Dynamo in the 2021/22 season.

“I signed here because I heard a lot of positive things about Hungarian Nemzeti Bajnokság and Újpest. I’ve already completed a few training sessions with the team, I’ve experienced excellent quality, I’ve met very talented, young and gifted players, about whom I can only say good things from a human point of view. The fact that there are other German players in the team and in the league also contributed to my final decision, ”said Mörschel, who will be two of the three German professionals in Újpest with Luca Mack (22) and Luis Jakobi (21) in the future Hungary’s upper house at his side.

“For me it’s definitely a step forward in my career because it’s a first class league that is followed and loved by many. I hope that I can see our fans as soon as possible, even this weekend, and I’m looking forward to many successful games together,” Mörschel continued.
