Jakarta, CNN Indonesia —
Former commissioner of PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk Peter F. Gontha revealed that there was an ‘dark fee’ imposed on the crew cockpit company. The imposition of this fee is borne by the Association Pilot Garuda (APG).
According to the information in his pocket, each crew member is often charged a fee of Rp. 200 thousand to Rp. 500 thousand per month. In fact, the collection of dues has been going on for decades.
“Each Garuda cockpit crew has to pay a fee ranging from Rp. 200,000 per month to Rp. 500,000 per month. It has been for decades,” said Peter through an upload on his personal Instagram, Thursday (28/10).
CNNIndonesia.com has received permission from Peter to quote his statement. However, he continued, it was never known what the fees were for. In fact, it was never revealed what it would be used for.
In fact, Peter believes the number is not small. For this reason, according to him, this matter needs to be audited immediately to provide clarity.
“Just count if there are 1,000-1,500 Garuda pilots. How many? Where is the money? It’s better to have an audit,” he said.
CNNIndonesia.com has confirmed the illegal fees to the President of the Garuda Pilots Association (APG) Donny Kusmanagri. However, he refused to comment.
“For that we do not comment further,” said Donny briefly.
