Ex-CEO Mithra demands hefty damages

Pharma

The CEO of Mithra Pharmaceuticals, David Horn Solomon, who was dismissed in March, is demanding substantial compensation from the moribund Liège pharmaceutical company.

The former CEO of Mithra, David Horn Solomon, is suing the Liège pharmaceutical company for ‘unreasonable dismissal’. He is demanding damages of almost 3 million euros. By comparison, Mithra’s market value is only 15 million euros.

Mithra, which specializes in women’s health products, kicked Solomon out in early March after less than a year. The Canadian is now contesting that dismissal: he disputes the reasons given by Mithra and argues that the company did not respect a twelve-month notice period.

Through his management company Bronzet Management, Solomon is claiming damages of 540,000 euros for breach of contract. He also requests that Mithra grant him 2.285 million euros in warrants that have already been issued. (belga, pse)
