Marco Reus is about to move to the USA. Rumours say his friend Mario Götze could follow him. Now the Eintracht professional has clarified the matter.
Dortmund – Marco Reus and Mario Götze once formed a dream duo in Borussia Dortmund’s midfield. Both got along perfectly on the pitch and are still friends in private. There is now speculation about a strange reunion between the two ex-BVB stars. The destination is said to be the USA.

RUHR24 reported weeks ago that Marco Reus is about to transfer to MLS club LA Galaxy. The former captain of Borussia Dortmund wants to end his career in the States. Only the final details are missing before the deal can be announced.
In this context, Mario Götze’s name suddenly cropped up recently. The 2014 World Cup final goal scorer also has a fondness for American football and the country’s culture. At the age of 32, he too is gradually approaching the end of his career.
In an interview with the Bild Götze has now committed to Eintracht Frankfurt, where he still has a valid contract until the summer of 2026: “The moment counts. And at the moment I feel very comfortable here,” assured the playmaker. However, he left himself a back door open.

Die Bild probed further and asked the former BVB talent of the century whether, if the worst came to the worst, he would rather play with his friend Marco Reus at LA Galaxy or with Lionel Messi at Inter Miami.
A move to the USA is “not an issue” for former BVB star Mario Götze this summer
Götze replied with a smile: “Both are good. We have been to America several times and the MLS has always been a future topic, even when I was younger.”
However, he added: “But currently there isn’t one – and in the summer there were only rumors circulating, without any truth content.”
