Johnson was so dependent on him that he even stood behind his chief advisor when he broke the corona rules during the lockdown in spring 2020. For a long time, Cummings was indispensable to the prime minister. He not only invented the slogan “Get Brexit done” and thus helped Johnson win the 2019 election.
