Ex-Nuremberg
Ex-Bundesliga goalkeeper Patrick Rakovsky (29) is moving from Orange County SC to Phoenix Rising FC on a free transfer within the USL Championship. The longtime Nuremberg keeper, who came to California from FC Lahti in Finland in early 2021, made 57 appearances for Orange County in two seasons, in which he kept 13 clean sheets.
“Patrick is an experienced goalkeeper who knows this league very well. He has excelled at this level in the past and knows what it takes to win. He’s very comfortable with the ball at his feet, which suits our style of play very well. He will offer us a lot of leadership and character. He will be an asset to us on the field and in the dressing room,” said coach Juan Guerra.
