EWE Baskets Oldenburg have signed Kyle Foster (25/1.97 m). The American (born in Virginia) has signed a contract for the next two years. Last season he played in France’s 1st division for Roanne (11th of the LNB).

Foster: “I would describe myself as hard working, no-nonsense and respectful. I’m a cool, laid back person. But when it comes to achieving goals, I am determined. I have a winning mentality.”

A type that should fit the idea of ​​head coach Pedro Calles. “Kyle is a player who can add throwing ability, momentum and athletic ability to our game at the perimeter,” Calles said. The Spaniard is entering his second year with the Oldenburg team.

Already in college, Foster was one of the best long-range shooters in the NCAA, developing steadily over five years at Howard University. And something else sets him apart. Calles: “In his first year in Europe, Kyle showed that he can adapt. It also fulfills our desire to find hungry players to progress with us!”

At the French provincial club (85 km from Lyon), the small forward was on the floor for an average of almost 30 minutes last season and scored 12.8 points. With a 44.2 percent rate of three, he was one of the most consistent throwers in the league.
