Evo Japan 2024: Top 64 Tekken 8 Character Usage Revealed

Evo Japan 2024: Analyzing the Tekken 8 Character Usage

Insights into Tekken 8’s Meta from One of the First Major Tournaments

Evo Japan 2024 is one of the major tournaments that has taken place over the weekend, offering exciting insights into the evolving meta of Tekken 8.

Many expected top-tier characters, such as Feng and Dragunov, have made it to the top 64 portion of the bracket. However, it is intriguing to note that only seven characters failed to secure a spot in the top 64, especially considering that one of these characters is a prominent contender.

Devil Jin, renowned for being both difficult to play and a top or high-tier candidate, did not achieve significant success at the event. Conversely, while it is unsurprising to see a lack of representation from Asuka and Panda, it is surprising to witness less popular fighters like Leroy, Kuma, Zafina, and Steve being utilized, as they are often considered low-tier picks in Tekken 8.

Feng emerged as the most popular combatant, being the main character for seven participants, while two others used Feng as a secondary character. Victor secured the second spot, chosen by six competitors.
