LONDON, KOMPAS.com – Ambassador Myanmar for English reportedly had to sleep in the car, after he was kicked out of the embassy in London.
Kyaw Zwar Minn, a figure against the coup military junta on February 1, spent the night at the last black Volvo XC60 at Mayfair.
He was locked from the outside on Wednesday night (7/4/2021), after a number of staff carried out a “mini-coup” against him.

Looks like Ambassador got into the car that had Aung San Suu Kyi’s photo on it, and the next day she spoke to the police.
Kyaw Zwar Minn stated that he did not hesitate to believe that the Myanmar military junta would label him a traitor.
This is because he stood up and opposed the coup which had an impact on the crisis during the last two months in this Southeast Asian country.
British Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab regretted the “bullying” behavior at the embassy in London.
Raab also praised Kyaw because he had the courage to go against the Tatmadaw, the junta’s official name. In fact, he is a retired Colonel.
Kyaw’s wife and child were reportedly nowhere to be seen when he was kicked out, and are believed to be living far from the embassy.
Allegedly, the person who deposed Kyaw was Chit Win as his deputy, and is now serving as charge d’affairs.
Reported Daily Mail Thursday (8/4/2021), Kyaw called Chit’s action an insult to the will of the Myanmar and British people.
“A coup like this could happen in the middle of England, in London. This incident shouldn’t have happened,” he complained.
“This is not Burma (Myanmar’s old name). This is England. I am still here. I am really uncomfortable,” he continued.
On Thursday, “Queen Elizabeth State” stated they were forced to no longer acknowledge Kyaw’s credentials.

This was because the Tatmadaw had issued a formal notification that they were withdrawing Kyaw for supporting Aung San Suu Kyi.
British diplomatic sources said they were forced to accept that the junta would no longer recognize Kyaw.
Kyaw Zwar Minn responded by explaining the London decision was “their business, not mine”.
Reported CNN, some of its staff are still inside the embassy, among them children.
