The famous and charismatic Evija Weber experiments with various electronic and acoustic sounds, creating sometimes dreamy, sometimes anxious compositions, but at the moment (it has been observed in many of her last concerts) she has fallen in love with modular synthesizers. At the concert, she Evija will play music together with drummer Ivars Arutjunjans: improvisation, multifaceted rhythms and soundscapes are both musicians’ favorite playground.
On the other hand, “alejas” is a group from Riga, which is not often seen in “live”. It was born when three friends meet… in the kitchen (literally). “In their music, you can hear a combination of electronic recordings, live music and ambient sounds with vocals and various backing vocals,” connoisseurs of such music say so. “aleju” is composed by poet Kirils Ćis (lyricist and lead singer of the group), as well as sound artists Spāre Vītola and Reinis Žodžiks.
