Evgeny Stychkin
Evgeny Stychkin took place in the profession both as an actor and as a director. His recently shot “Patient Zero”, in which the cinematographer also played one of the main roles, received rave reviews from critics and viewers. Eugene is happy in the family. His youngest son was born last year. And Stychkin himself tomorrow, June 10, celebrates his 49th birthday.
“I’m not going to walk the streets with a banner”
It would probably be strange if Eugene found himself not in creativity, but, say, in the field of exact sciences. Mom is a ballerina, soloist of the Bolshoi Theater, and dad is a simultaneous interpreter. Stychkin’s godfather was the famous actor Anatoly Romashin.
Eugene studied at a special school with in-depth study of the English language. He entered VGIK, where Armen Dzhigarkhanyan and Albert Filozov were mentors. As a student, Stychkin played the first and immediately the main role in the cinema – in the melodrama with criminal notes “Bee”.
Now, Yevgeny has more than a hundred acting jobs in cinema, two directorial ones, including the social drama “Contact”. Stychkin appeared on the stage of four metropolitan theaters. He found himself as a dubbing actor, TV presenter and even served in the theater of Teresa Durova’s clowning.
Eugene was in his early 20s when he first became a father. Yulia Zhemchugova is his classmate. The romance of young actors did not end with a trip to the registry office, but Sofia was born. Today she is almost 30.
Julia found her happiness with another man. Sophia became widely known when she turned 16. Eugene answered questions from journalists:
“Of course, here she is – Sonya.” But I’m not going to walk the streets with a banner “I have not three, but four children, but two more dogs – and so on” – I’m not going to. Sonya has her own family – mother and father, the man who raised her and whom she calls her father. We see each other often.”
It is known that Sofia studied at the Faculty of Journalism at Ostankino and at that time was fond of political journalism.
“They divorced not only because of Zhenya’s affair”
Stychkin’s wife in the early 2000s was one of the most famous pianists of our time – Ekaterina Skanavi. She is a little older than Eugene. We met at the theater, where Catherine came as a spectator, and her future husband was just shining on the stage that evening.
The marriage lasted nine years, three children were born. The eldest Alexei is already 22, he studied the violin and entered the conservatory in Belgium. Leo is a year younger than his brother. Next comes Alexandra, who is 19.
The couple divorced hard. According to one version, the root cause was a new novel by Eugene himself, according to others – Catherine. The mother of the artist Ksenia Lvovna once claimed:
“They divorced not only because of Zhenya’s affair. Katya, without ceremony, took and confronted Zhenya with the fact that she had another man. The son suffered terribly and tried with all his might to save the family. At first he sobbed, then threatened Katya that he would take the children, pursued her, and later decided to pay back with the same coin.
Scanavi remarried, to the German cellist Claudio Bojorquez. The new marriage turned out to be happy. Stychkin formalized a relationship with a colleague Olga Stutulova, whom he is still married to this day.
Former husband and wife eventually established normal human relations. Peace has come, which all participants in this story appreciate very much, they are satisfied with life. “It turns out that two happy families were made from one unhappy family,” Stychkin smiles.
“I sing her praises”
His current chosen one, Olga Sutulova, is known for her roles in such sensational films as “Kept Women”, “Female Praying Mantis”. Before Eugene, the actress was not officially married to her husband and remained childless.
The couple got married in 2012. Stychkin claims that he and his wife do not avoid talking about work at home, they can even criticize each other.
“I sing praises to her, and she absolutely accurately, without embellishment, tells what she saw, felt and gives some advice,” says the cinematographer.
Olga gave birth to her first son, Evgenia, when she was already 40. The actress personally announced the birth of Mikhail on social networks in October 2020:
“Eugene prepared, prepared, and it turned out not in vain. The guy was met by an almost male company. With a strong gender bias anyway. To the sounds of the Rolling Stones, he was received by a pair of male golden hands of Russia and handed over to dad. And my dad is already with me.”
Last year, on Children’s Day, Stychkin again announced a joyful event. The couple had another boy. In May 2023, the premiere of a new film with the participation of Eugene took place. He played the policeman Rudnikov in the film by Karen Shakhnazarov “Khitrovka”. Viewers will soon see Olga in the role of the mother of the main character in the next film adaptation of Galina Shcherbakova’s story “You never dreamed of”.
