Evgeny Koshevoy also spoke about the casting for the only female role in “Evening Quarter”.
Artistic director of “Evening Quarter” Evgeny Koshevoy and an actress Irina Gatunwhich recently switched from “Women’s Quarter” to “Evening Quarter”, became guests of a live broadcast on “Snidanka z 1+1”.
They visited the studio of the morning project before filming the New Year’s “Evening Quarter”, which will air on December 31 at 19:00 on the “1+1 Ukraine” channel, and on the eve of a charity tour of Ukrainian cities. Evgeniy and Ira told what surprises await the audience on New Year’s Eve and at charity concerts, and also commented on the latest news from the group.
Of course, we did not ignore the transition of Irina Gatun from the “Women’s Quarter” to the men’s team of the “Evening Quarter”. The presenters of “Snidanka” were especially interested in what the casting was like for the only female role in this humorous project.
“We didn’t have a single casting! We have known Ira for a very long time and simply suggested that she leave one team and join another. They just called and said about it,” commented Evgeniy Koshevoy.
Ira Gatun, in turn, said that she has not yet fully experienced the disconnection from the “Women’s Quarter”.
“We are now preparing a big New Year’s concert together. We all meet together at rehearsals. The only thing is that in this concert I am already playing all the numbers with the guys,” Gatun commented.
The actors also promised that many surprises await the audience in the New Year’s Evening Quarter! Which ones – watch on December 31 at 19:00 on “1+1 Ukraine”.
The first to see “Evening Quarter” in its updated composition will be the audience of the charity tour concerts in the cities of Ukraine, which begins on December 18 in Vinnitsa.
“We are worried before the tour, because we have not toured with the Evening Quarter since 2021 and these will be the first tour concerts that we will give as a separate group. Before that there were only single charity concerts of the United Quarter. It was also cool. We collected money for which we bought a lot of “goodies” for our military,” Koshevoy said.
Evgeny Koshevoy, together with Alexander Pikalov, recently personally delivered these “goodies” to the defenders who are fighting in the Donetsk, Kharkov and Dnepropetrovsk regions.
“We met with the military – with the 5th assault brigade, with the 28th separate mechanized brigade, with other military personnel, and brought various things for the guys – drones, thermal imagers, ATVs, which were collected at the last charity concert of the United Quarter. It is important to travel to our defenders, to lift their spirits, to personally deliver to them what they need, to feel contact, to see what is going on there,” says Koshevoy.
By the way, during this trip, Evgeniy Koshevoy accidentally broke a rib.
“It was in Slavyansk, there was no light, when a convoy of vehicles was moving very quickly, there were no turns or stops, and when you sharply press the brake – that’s it: just a broken rib. Moreover, I broke the thinnest rib in the thinnest place. But this is all nonsense. Compared to what the guys in that direction feel. After this trip, we were filming the “League of Laughter.” And my co-host Vitya Rozovy, a soldier of the 3rd Assault Brigade, began to say that it was he who broke my rib, because I I didn’t greet him like that,” the actor joked.
Recently, a photo was published on social networks in which Evgeny Koshevoy and Alexander Pikalov together with the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate Kirill Budanov, which caused a lot of noise.
“We were recently at the Main Intelligence Directorate, handing over modern waterborne technical reconnaissance equipment, and then we took a photo with Kirill Alekseevich Budanov. And when we put him up, someone wrote under it: “Why did you photoshop Budanov?” To which someone else wrote : “What are you saying, this is a normal photograph, Kirill Alekseevich would not allow it to be photoshopped”… Our people monitor everything,” said Evgeniy Koshevoy.
All concerts – both “United Quarter” and “Evening Quarter” – are now charitable: part of the proceeds from ticket sales go to help the Armed Forces of Ukraine. And the actors must report on what and to which teams the funds raised were used.
