Famous Ukrainian singer Evgenia Vlasova spoke about her relationship with her godfather, producer and composer Konstantin Meladze during a full scale invasion.
The artist was stunned by the admission that she still communicates with the producer and believes that “Konstantin found himself in a very difficult situation.” And she noted that their dialogues are mainly about spiritual things and God. Evgenia also remembered one of their recent correspondence, when Meladze brought her to tears with empathy. However, she did not disclose what exactly they were talking about.
“He and I talk about God. By the way, we don’t talk on the phone, we just text. I have something that I wrote to him about. And it was probably quite harsh. I wrote to him everything that I think about himself, cooperation with me or the lack thereof… It was recently. And Kostya answered in such a way that I burst into tears,” told singer in an interview with Rostyslove Production.
Vlasova also shared how Konstantin is godfather to her 19-year-old daughter Nina. So, according to the singer, sometimes he helped the girl financially.
“He helped a lot with money when I had some problems. For him, the life of his goddaughter exists. He never stood aside. But this is not about money. Let no one say that he helped with money and she protects him. No,” added Evgenia.
In turn, in the comments, viewers of the interview were outraged by this position of Evgenia Vlasova and reminded the artist that the occupiers continue to destroy Ukrainians:
- It is completely inappropriate to talk about the genius and creativity of Meladze, defending him when people in our country die every day
- Evgenia doesn’t care about the fate of Ukrainian people. For her, godfather, matchmaker, brother and money are her world. Listening to her is disgusting, a set of words
- A shame! Meladze is afraid of losing bloody Russian money!? Where is he now, holed up abroad?
- I didn’t even watch it to the end! Very disappointed
Let us note that Konstantin Meladze has still not commented on Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and has not expressed his position.
