Two-time world figure skating champion Evgenia Medvedeva got infected coronavirus, according to the telegram channel Mash.
First, the skater passed one negative test, then two more, which showed that the disease had passed. However, Medvedeva still has symptoms, so she again passed tests. As a result, it turned out that the coronavirus did not pass. The athlete is now in quarantine.
Earlier, the two-time medalist of the 2018 Olympics withdrew from the Moscow stage of the Grand Prix due to the fact that she did not completely recover from a back injury.
This season Medvedeva has not yet competed due to back problems. The figure skater can take part in the fifth stage of the Russian Cup, which will be held in Moscow from 5 to 8 December.
