EVGA concludes partnership with Nvidia

Nvidia has lost one of its partners in the graphics card market. EVGA, a well-known manufacturer of computer equipment, has ceased cooperation. All indications are that the conflict has long since intensified.

EVGA has ended its partnership with Nvidia after more than 20 years of partnership. The well-known American hardware manufacturer shared the news with GamersNexus, and material on the subject appeared on YouTube on Friday evening.

About 80% of the company’s revenue comes from video card sales, according to GamersNexus, so this is a very important decision for the company’s future and could indicate extremely bad relationships between organizations.

The information that Steve Burke, editor-in-chief of GamersNexus, received from EVGA and revealed in the video is as follows:

  • EVGA will stop making graphics cards;
  • Existing customers continue to be covered by EVGA’s warranties;
  • EVGA has taken inventory to replace or repair units sold;
  • EVGA expects to run out of RTX 3000 series graphics cards by the end of the year;
  • EVGA remains in business;
  • The company will not be sold;
  • EVGA does not insert new product categories;
  • Nvidia was notified of this decision in April 2022.
  • EVGA is not currently considering partnering with Intel or AMD;
  • EVGA has completed engineering samples of the RTX 4000 series cards, but will not sell them.
  • EVGA says workers will not be fired.
  • EVGA thinks Nvidia scammed it (the original had a more vulgar expression).

The breakup of the collaboration with Nvidia naturally puts an end to the company’s adventures with “green” video cards. However, there have been online reports of EVGA’s RTX 4000 models. As Steve Burke confirms, the first RTX 4000 series EVGA cards were created. However, these were test chips and probably never went into mass production. These models will never be on sale either.

Gamers are not expected to experience any significant differences in the availability of graphics cards in stores and it is likely that the upcoming RTX 4000 series chips will be produced in greater numbers by other Nvidia partners. However, if this is consumer-free, time will tell.
