The Tour de France Femmes consists of eight stages with a total length of more than a thousand kilometers. It is the first time that the Tour de France for women starts outside the home country.
On Tuesday 13 August, two stages around Rotterdam are scheduled. After that, the race continues via Liège (Belgium) to France, to finish on Sunday 18 August on top of the famous French mountain Alpe d’Huez.
Demi Vollering from Pijnacker is the big favorite for the final classification of the Tour de France Femmes. Last year, the rider also won the most prestigious cycling race in the world.
