The OnePlus Nord is the affordable smartphone that OnePlus is preparing for the end of this month of July. Several information is already circulating about it. Here we take stock of everything to remember.

The name of OnePlus North wants to evoke a course to maintain, a line to follow, as when we locate ourselves with the star of the Shepherd which indicates, you undoubtedly already know, the north. All of this is nice, but in practical terms, what can we expect from this smartphone that promises to deliver a high-quality user experience for an affordable price? It is precisely this question that we will address in this article.
???? Has the name OnePlus Nord been confirmed?
Unlike some manufacturers, OnePlus has never really been the type to market a multitude of smartphones each year. The OnePlus Nord will thus break this strategy by allowing the brand to invest in the mid-range segment without abandoning the increasingly premium market targeted by its flagship products.
Such an initiative had already been attempted with the OnePlus X, but without follow-up. This time, the company’s ambitions seem more thought out in the long term. However, it took a long time before to confirm the official name of the OnePlus Nord previously known as “OnePlus 8 Lite” then “OnePlus Z”.
Double pierced AMOLED screen and quadruple rear photo module
Several pieces of information circulate around the OnePlus Nord. Some have been confirmed by the brand, while the others have yet to be verified – but are already very credible. Among the elements we are sure of is the AMOLED screen, a display technology on which the brand does not want to compromise. It is also a safe bet that the panel takes advantage of a 90 Hz mode for more fluidity.

Regarding the screen, also know that it is doubly pierced in the upper left corner to make room for the double selfie sensor. An image of the front face of an advanced prototype of the OnePlus Nord has also been officially shown by the brand.

Much less official – and shared by the leaker Evan Blass -, a blurred (but very believable) image revealing the supposed technical data sheet of the OnePlus Nord indicates a diagonal of 6.44 inches.

Note therefore that we should also expect to take advantage of 8 or 12 GB of RAM associated with 128 or 256 GB of storage. On the battery side, a 4115 mAh accumulator (and its Warp Charge 30T quick charger) is at work.
On his Pateron (paid), Evan Blass also shared 3D renderings of the device, confirming in passing a quadruple rear photo module implemented in the vertical direction at the top left. On Twitter, OnePlus also reveals a very small part of the design, the lower part.

The brand has also confirmed that its phone will be equipped witha Snapdragon 765G. Remember that this SoC is compatible with the 5G network.
???? How many photo sensors will the OnePlus Nord have?
By adding the front and back sides, the OnePlus Nord will have a total of 6 photo sensors. The rear quad module should consist ofa 48-megapixel main sensor associated with an ultra wide-angle, a sensor with macro lens and a depth sensor.
For selfies, a priori it would be necessary to count on a main sensor of 32 megapixels to which would be added an ultra wide-angle.
???? When will the OnePlus Nord be released?
The OnePlus Nord will be announced on July 21 during an online event to follow live via an augmented reality application. We then put on a commercial release of the phone a few days after the event, probably somewhere in early August. True wireless OnePlus Buds headphones will be unveiled at the same time.

The only official information about the OnePlus Nord is that it will position itself as an affordable smartphone. At the same time, the brand promises a very neat user experience worthy of high-end devices. Thus, we can try to guess a fairly wide range for the entry price of this product, probably between 350 and 450 euros depending on the amount of RAM and storage.
