After two years, the Theater of the States Cycle 2023 returns in person with 6 productions from Veracruz, Tabasco and Jalisco that will be presented from January 19 to February 12 in The Chapel Theatre.
After receiving more than 50 proposals, 3 were selected to receive the stimulus indicated by the call, of $10,000.00 and another 3, due to their remarkable quality, were considered within the cycle. In this year, unanimously in the results, 4 productions from the state of Veracruz were selected, realizing the theatrical wealth that inhabits that region.
The Cycle will begin with the staging of In winter the crows die of Diana Anaid Vazquez Hernandez directed by Lucila Castilloof La Butaca Roja Theater Collective of Veracruz (from Thursday 19 to Saturday 21 January).
Will follow, The extra and ordinary life of Filomena Jiménez by Isabel Quiroz, from the company Teatro Glam & Roll of Veracruz (from Friday 27 to Sunday 29 January) and will close with to the root of Israel Sosa directed by Lariza Juarez, from Tabasco Cocoa Company (from Friday 3 to Sunday 5 February).
While the invited montages will be Exhibition of a larva by Vidal Medina Directed by Kevin Beltrán, from the Alarido Theater Company of Veracruz (Thursday 2 and Friday 3 February), the eden of the muses by Francisco Jácome-García, from the Andronicus MX Company of Veracruz (Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 February) and The cloud seller adaptation of the story by Elena Poniatowska by Patricia Ortega, from the ROOT Company Performing Arts of Jalisco (February 12, at his death).
The performances will be on Fridays at 8:00 p.m., Saturdays at 7:00 p.m. and Sundays at 6:00 p.m., except for La vendedora de nubes, which will offer a performance at 12:00 p.m., at Teatro La Capilla, located at Madrid 13 , Col. Del Carmen.
