The Salvadoran sand is ready to host the fourth edition of the Beach Soccer League starting this weekend, a sporting activity that this year will feature the participation of 41 teams, both men and women, 11 more than in previous editions.

The fourth edition will have 24 men’s teams, including: Garita Palmera, Barra de Santiago, Barra Ciega, Teotepeque, San Salvador BS, BS-UES, Costa del Sol, San Marcelino, Rayos del Bajo Lempa, Joya Grande, La Herradura, Apulo Ilopango, Rancho Viejo, Puerto el Triunfo, La Pirraya, Corral de Mulas, La Canoa del Bajo Lempa, Isla de Méndez, Chirilagua, San Sebastián, Arcos del Espino, El Cuco, Warriors and El Espino.

In the women’s category, 17 groups stand out: Garita Palmera, Bar of Santiago, Teotepeque, San Salvador BS, BS-UES, Sunshine Coast, San Marcelino, Rays of the Lower Lempa, Big Jewel, The Canoe of the Lower Lempa, Mendez Island, Puerto el Triumph, La Pirraya, San Sebastian, Mule Barn, Old Ranch, and Chirilagua.

The sports venues that will host the competition are located in: Ahuachapán, La Paz, Sonsonate, La Libertad, San Salvador, Usulután, San Miguel and San Vicente.

The format for the competition will be four men’s groups and three women’s groups made up of six teams each and the first phase will be played in a one-against-all format, in two rounds, according to the National Sports Institute of El Salvador (INDES). .

After the first regular stage in the men’s category, the first three teams in each group will go to the first category and in the women’s category, the top 10 plus the best fourth will play in the first.

After the regular phase, the teams will face a single group in a one against all, where the first eight best will go to the quarterfinals and the winners will access the semifinals in which only the best will be able to compete for the title. .
