In many federal states it is also permitted to apply for up to five days a year as educational leave. Instead of a salary increase, employees could also negotiate a training budget that would be taken over or reimbursed tax-free by the employer.

4. Have a healthy lunch break sponsored

Businesses can get involved by paying a lunchtime subsidy. This is possible either via meal vouchers that employees can redeem at selected locations, or via apps as a digital solution. Companies can subsidize lunch with a maximum of 6.67 euros per day.
