While most holidaymakers and travelers to Spain opt for the plane because this is the fastest way to travel, many people also go to Spain with their own transport such as a car or camper or they board a bus from one of the well-known coach companies. But did you know that it is also possible to take the bus from FlixBus to travel from the Netherlands or Belgium to Spain?
With all the problems at Schiphol and Brussels airports and the chance that a holiday flight will be cancelled, many travelers are looking for alternatives. One of the alternatives to the plane is of course your own transport, but not everyone can or wants to drive all the way to Spain. Another alternative is the train like us HERE already described. This time we look at traveling by bus from the Netherlands or Belgium to Spain. Is that possible and how does this work?
To investigate this, we looked at the internationalFlixBus , active in the Netherlands, Belgium, France and Spain. It is immediately noticeable that there are no direct bus connections with Spain from the Netherlands and Belgium, except for a night/day bus from Brussels. In fact, there are no Spain connections from the Netherlands either THIS MAP with routes. For Belgium, the routes to Spain are on the map. In all cases, travelers have to change trains once, either in Paris, Lyon or in some cases in another city, except for the one direct bus connection between Brussels and Barcelona.
