“The greater emphasis on work life balance, ie the correct division between work and leisure, is interesting. It turns out that in a labor market that is overheated today, when there are no people and a lot of people from different fields have gone elsewhere, candidates can choose where to go. Previously, there were 30, 50 candidates for some positions in companies, today five are needed, “says Jakub Hořický, director of the TOP Employers study, which was attended by almost 12,000 university students.

“The starting salary is already starting to be decisive, which means that students want to negotiate good conditions right before starting and not expect them to work out. However, flexible working hours are absolutely essential for them, to work anytime and from anywhere, so that they can possibly combine work with further studies, and the emphasis on the team is also growing, ”adds Jakub Hořický.

According to him, young people no longer want to work in teams in “inferior” positions, for example as, say, searchers, but directly to help people in senior positions and perform equal “more adult” work.

Methodology of the TOP Employers study
Students fill in the answers to the study questions in an online questionnaire prepared by the GFK research agency. The experience of sociologists and know-how from the previous 10 years were used in the preparation.

The order of companies in each category is determined by the results of the questionnaires. The questions in the survey are reviewed every year, reflecting trends in the employment of students and university graduates.
