Laurie is a male cat who will soon be 3 years old.
I live in a maison with two large terraces in Bordeaux, famous for its wine. In the morning she wakes up her master and then goes out on the terrace to sunbathe while chasing the birds. And they sleep peacefully while their owners work or study at home.
When he wakes up, he basically follows his mistress everywhere and stalks her all day long. At night they eat with their masters, play a bit and then go to sleep.
The vet’s diagnosis is that he should be a little thinner. It appears that he has a heart problem and is prone to gaining weight. My diet centers around a combination of steamed, chopped, and canned zucchini, but I’m satisfied.
I love the sun so relaxing on the sofas on the terrace is the perfect time. It is a place with a beautiful view and overlooks the interior of the house.
I also love the kitchen table where you can see the owner cooking. I also love the unbalanced suspension bridge where I can take my nap. What I’m good at is communicating with people. He speaks well and uses millions of different tones of voice to convey what he wants. It is said that you look like an actor.
We often play with mice toys that look real. Maybe that’s why they call me “artistic”. I have many toy mice that I keep in front of my owner’s bedroom. Not only balls, but also twigs, garbage… anything you throw at it will be picked up and returned to its owners.
What does Laurie see from the owner?
After the second lockdown, I decided to get a cat. I called the SPA (Animal Protection Association) first, but at that point there were no cats available. So I visited a local breeder and met 5 kittens. Laurie looked around and wondered. I knew from the beginning that he was going to be my cat. I was already in love.
When I first visited the breeder, I thought Laurie was artistic, unlike her brother. Sounds strange, but now I understand why. He is very expressive and can convey many opinions and requests. All my friends who have cats say they have never seen a cat like this in their life.
Also, Laurie is a very brave cat. she is an indoor cat. I don’t think I can jump very high or catch a bird, but I believe in my abilities. As we were walking in the woods of Brittany, a large dog came in front of us. But he never panicked and approached the dog with the angriest look he could. I was surprised. Most cats are often frightened in these situations, but I’ve never seen Laurie flinch when she encounters a dog or another cat. She is somewhat dependent on humans, but independent at the same time.
