“Everyone is here!” Belmond’s funeral was a show of French film stars

The funeral of Jean-Paul Belmond in the church of Saint-Germain-des-Prés was closed to the public at the request of the large actor’s family. Only friends and colleagues not only from the film industry were invited. As another French film legend has said – comedian Pierre Richrad – he put it exactly: “I am very sad about what happened. But I am very happy with how the world and the French have behaved. See, they’re all here. It’s amazing.”
