Betso Mosimane, the new technical director of Al-Ahly club, sent a message to the fans of the Red Team, and was keen to extend thanks and appreciation to the Board of Directors of the Red Castle for the confidence they gave him to assume the technical task of the team.
Today, Thursday, Al-Ahly announced the appointment of Musimani as technical director of the Red Team, to succeed Rene Fyler. (See the club’s official statement)
During statements by Musimani published in the “Times Life” newspaper, the South African coach said: “Happy to join Al-Ahly, I feel proud and honored to lead the team.”
He added, “I thank Bebo (Mahmoud Al-Khatib), the club’s president and Al-Ahly’s board of directors, for the confidence they have given me by assigning me to this difficult task.”
He continued: “Everyone has shown me confidence, and they believe that I can take the team to a better stage.”
Musimani sent a message to Al-Ahly fans, saying: “Give me some time and support, and I will take Al-Ahly to a better stage. I promise you that I will be up to the responsibility.”
It is worth noting that Musimane has a big challenge ahead, as Al-Ahly is scheduled to play two important matches this month against Wydad in the CAF Champions League semi-finals.
