Liverpool rushed to close a deal for Ibrahima Konate
The Premier League has confirmed that this summer’s transfer window will be extended by 12 weeks from Wednesday, June 9 to 11 p.m. on Tuesday, August 31.
Several key transfers are in the pipeline, while Liverpool have already spent £ 35 million on RB Leipzig defender Ibrahima Konate and Aston Villa have landed Emiliano Buendia from Norwich for £ 33 million.
Leicester have signed Zambian forward Patson Daka from Red Bull Salzburg for £ 23m and Chelsea have sent young star Billy Gilmour on loan to Norwich.
Clubs will have to deal with the complication of the reorganized Euro 2020 tournament this summer, but they should still have enough time to reach deals.
