The “Ahl Avraham” community at the Leo Buck Education Center invites the Haifa public to the “Counting the Omer” project, during which a special prayer will be said for the safety and release of the abductees held captive by Hamas in Gaza. The prayer is held every evening at 20:00 via Zoom, followed by a short study relevant to the Omer period (between Pesach, after the Seder night, and Shavuot – 49 days).
Also, today (Monday), the seventh of Pesach, at 18:30 the “Ahel Avraham” congregation invites the public to hear the sea song and say goodbye to Pesach at an event that will be held at Dado Beach.
The organizer of the project, Ariela Gertz, says: “We meet every evening at the Zom Temple, bless the Omer and pray for the safety of the abductees and their speedy release. Together with us, other Reform communities from around the country participate in the project, and we would be very happy for the Haifa public outside of the community to participate in prayers and study with us. This is a short study A booklet written by my teacher, Rabbi Michael Gertz, in which there is a special study for each day. It can be a passage from the Talmud or the words of the sages. Everyone can come and participate.”
