Everton’s ‘Man of the Match’ Performance, Frank Lampard Praises Donny Van De Beek

Everton manager Frank Lampard said he was satisfied with the appearance of Donny van de Beek in the player’s 90-minute debut.

Most recently, Everton managed to beat Leeds United 3-0 in the 25th week of the English Premier League at Goodison Park, Saturday (12/2).

Van de Beek was instrumental in Seamus Coleman’s opener for Everton in the 10th minute. Michael Keane (23′) and Anthony Gordon (78′) scored the other goals for The Toffees.

This will be the first full game and the debut of the midfielder on loan from Manchester United with Everton. In his first match, he only appeared from the bench for 40 minutes in the defeat to Newcastle on Tuesday.

“I thought Donny van de Beek was great,” Lampard said at his post-match news conference.

“Playing like that at home, his composure, performance on the pitch and his intelligence is incredible,” said the Chelsea legend.

“While Dele [Alli] appear effective when we take down [babak kedua]. There will be more to offer from the two of them. Both are good additions and I’m sure they will get even better.”

With United this season, Van de Beek has never even started as a starter in the Premier League. The 24-year-old has only appeared in eight games with one goal contribution.
