It was recently revealed that Everspace 2 It’s finally about to get a console version, more than two years after the premiere of the PC Early Access version, and officially released in full in April. In the console launch trailer, it was revealed that the game will launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S/X on May 15th.
Everspace 2 will be included with Game Pass from day one, when Rockfish Games CEO Michael Schade recently visited Xbox Expansion Pass On the podcast, he talked about it, claiming that it benefits everyone, as the team gets up to a year of extra development time:
“We could have made Everspace 2 without Xbox Game Pass, but it would have been a smaller game. Part of the funding — the licensing fee — is when you launch PC Game Pass in the Game Preview program, which is what we Do. And then you get a big chunk of the license, which allows us to work on the game for another nine months…
Combined with the other revenue streams we have, plus the Game Pass deal,[它]Allowing us to add 9 to 12 months to production time.
Schade also called Game Pass a“One of the best deals in the industry, if not the best” andSays the subscription service hasn’t hurt Everspace 2’s PC sales. In the end, this benefits everyone, regardless of format:
“So, yes – it’s maximum flexibility, extra money, you just make a better game. Everybody’s happy! Even everyone who doesn’t use Game Pass gets a better game. So , even Playstation fans will get better games on PS5 thanks to the Game Pass deal.
