On the morning of the 24th, at Everland, Yongin City, Gyeonggi Province, the little panda Pubao eats a special meal prepared by the breeders. Yonhap News Everland, located in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province, has started discussions with the Chinese side regarding the return of the giant panda Fubao to China.
On the 24th, the Everland Zoo held a press briefing at Panda World and said, “According to the agreement with China, the time to return is ‘before the age of 4’.”
He added, “Since last month, when Fu Bao celebrated his third birthday, we have started discussing his return with China. We have not yet received a specific answer.”
He also explained, “In the past, there have been cases where Lebao and Aibao came to Korea in March, and since May-July is rather hot, we expect that Fubao will return around February-April, around March.”
The targets for consultation on Fubao’s return include the China Wildlife Conservation Association, which is in charge of China’s wildlife management, and China’s Giant Panda Conservation Research Center, which is Everland’s panda research partner.
On this day, Everland presented Le Bao and Fu Bao with a set of toys consisting of carrots, wotou (healthy bread for pandas), and frozen bamboo leaves.
Looks like twin pandas. On the other hand, Everland decided to publicize the names of twin baby pandas born on the 7th of last month through online and offline contests. It is a method of revealing the name around October, when it is 100 days old, through related social media comments, council screening, and voting.
The twins, who weighed 180g and 140g at birth, now weigh about 2kg and have grown more than 10 times.
