Shahnaz Haque was diagnosed with early stage ovarian cancer in 1998.
REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA — Celebrity and Ambassador of Ovarian Cancer Care, Shahnaz Haque, invites women not to be afraid of ovarian cancer treatment. Instead, they need to worry about one of the cancers that are asymptomatic at an early stage.
“Don’t be afraid of the treatment, but be afraid of the disease. Many people go to alternative medicine, afraid of having their ovaries removed and not being able to have children,” said Shahnaz, who was diagnosed ovarian cancer in 1998 in a virtual discussion with the media, Thursday.
Shahnaz said women can have children even with one ovary just like humans can live with one kidney. Therefore, he advises those who have been diagnosed with cancer to immediately seek treatment from a doctor.
