The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is a dynamic, reformist and rapidly growing international movement within Islam. Founded in 1889 in Qadian, India by His Holiness Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (1835-1908), the Ahmadiyya Muslim community is now present in over 200 countries, with tens of millions of members. Their motto is: “Love for all – Hate for none”.
The Ahmadiyya Muslim community is the leading Islamic organization to categorically reject terrorism in any form. More than a century ago, Ahmad emphatically declared that aggressive “jihad by the sword” has no place in Islam. In his place, he taught his followers to conduct a bloodless and intellectual “jihad of the pen” to defend Islam.
