The city invites you to commemorate the victims of the anti-Jewish pogrom night on November 9, 1938 Nordhausen On Saturday, November 9th, at 4 p.m., all Nordhausen will be invited to a memorial event. The lantern parade with the youth fire brigade on Sunday, November 10th is the highlight of the Martini celebration Neustadt. The festival starts at 4:30 p.m. with a service in St. George’s Church. The parade is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. Afterwards, all visitors will be served children’s punch, mulled wine and bratwurst at the fire station. red
Fun and games for children in the city library
The “In the Middle” series Nordhäuser City library will continue this month. The girls and boys can look forward to a funny ghost story on Wednesday, November 13th, from 4 p.m. And afterwards they can make ghosts at a ghost party and there will also be a big spider racing game. A fee of one euro is charged for crafting. The same applies to November 20th, when Advent pendants can be made from 4 p.m. A week later, the Mario Party Jamboree game is on the program from 4 p.m. If you like, you can compete against others on the Switch. red

The handicrafts will be on November 16th and 17th at the Tabakspeicher in Nordhausen in the center. Guests can admire textile, ceramic and floral art objects from Nordhäuser. Touching and tasting is permitted and encouraged on both days. The Nordhausen specialists show off their skills on the bobbin sack. Spinner women demonstrate their craftsmanship on spinning wheels and invite you to imitate them. Those interested can create paper themselves under expert guidance. A jewelry designer, a textile designer and patchwork artists reveal the secrets of their arts. Decorative and everyday objects designed and fired with imagination are shown, as are artistic arrangements and wreaths. Some of the work can be purchased. Skat tournament in Lower Saxony
