Gurnigel Hill Climb
The main road at Gurnigel will be closed on Saturday and Sunday. The reason is the annual Gurnigel hill climb, which is taking place for the 53rd time this year. The main road between Riggisberg, the Wattenwil junction and Gurnigelbad will therefore be closed to through traffic on both days from 6:30 a.m. to around 8 p.m.
Drivers who want to drive to the Gurnigelbad or the Gurnigel and Gantrisch areas will be diverted via Rüschegg-Graben – Riffenmatt – Schwarzenbühl. Through traffic from the Gantrisch area to Riggisberg will be diverted in the opposite direction.
Bern Sustainability Days
The Bern Sustainability Days start in the city of Bern on Saturday. There will be an opening ceremony from 11 a.m. As part of the event, the train station in Bern will be car-free on this day. The festival perimeter is on Bubenberg and Bahnhofplatz. There will also be restrictions on public transport, such as Bernmobil communicates.
In addition to the sustainability days, the Herzogstrassenfest will take place in Breitenrain on Saturday, the Neubrückstrassenfest in Brückfeld and the Energy Air on the Expo site. All of these events mean that certain buses and trams will not run as usual or some streets will be closed.
«Hallo Velo»-Festival
This year’s Berne cycling festival “Hallo Velo!” will take place in the city of Bern on Sunday. From 7 a.m. to around 6.30 p.m. there will be traffic restrictions in the city center in the event zones at Bärenplatz, Bundesplatz and Münsterplatz. The following streets and squares will be closed to private and public traffic: Bundesgasse, Kochergasse, Herrengasse, Münsterplatz, Casinoplatz, Theaterplatz, Amtshaus, up to and including Schauplatzgasse and Gurtengasse.

Between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. there will also be traffic restrictions along the 6.5-kilometer-long cycle route through the city. Temporary road closures and waiting times are to be expected in the affected districts.
SlowUp Emmental-Oberaargau
On Sunday, no motorized vehicles are allowed on the route between Huttwil, Sumiswald and Rohrbach. The road is closed from 9:15 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. due to the SlowUp Emmental-Oberaargau. The Sumiswald – Häusernmoos section can be used in both directions. There is plenty of space for bicycles, scooters and inline skates. In addition, steam and electric trains run between Sumiswald-Grünen and Huttwil between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. for all those who want to enjoy the day in peace and quiet.
On Sunday the SlowUp Emmental-Oberaargau will take place again.

Jungfrau Marathon
The 31st Jungfrau Marathon will take place in Interlaken on Saturday. As always, the route leads from Interlaken to Bönigen, Wilderswil, Zweilütschinen, Lauterbrunnen via Wengen up to the Eiger Glacier. Some sections of the road are therefore closed:
- The Höheweg in Interlaken is open from Friday evening until Saturday lunchtime at 12 noon.
- In Bönigen, the closure on Saturday affects Interlakenstrasse, Hauptstrasse and Gsteigstrasse from 8.30 a.m. to 9.30 a.m.
- Driving through Zweilütschinen is very difficult – on Saturday from 9.15 a.m. to 11.15 a.m. Waiting times are to be expected.
- The main road between Lauterbrunnen and the Isenfluh junction is closed to all vehicles. Parking on the side of the road is not permitted. From 9.15 a.m. to 12.15 p.m.
- In Lauterbrunnen, driving through the village and access to the parking garage is not possible between 9 a.m. and 12.30 p.m.
