Wiesbaden (dpa / lhe) – In view of falling corona numbers, Hesse’s Minister of Art and Culture Angela Dorn has announced live events for the “Day for Literature and Music” on May 30th. It is a happy coincidence that the day of action falls exactly at the time when the first openings are possible, said the Green politician on Friday in Wiesbaden. “I am particularly pleased that the falling incidence this Sunday means that personal encounters, which make culture so unique, will be possible under the known rules and with great caution,” she said.
This year the “Day for Literature” and “A Day for Music” were merged for the first time. Throughout Hesse, more than 200 cultural associations, museums, artists and private initiatives present events – most of them online. The “Day for Literature” has been held every two years on a Sunday in May since 2007. “A day for music” was first held in 2018 and should take place every two years. In 2020 it was canceled due to the corona pandemic.
