At the general meeting on Monday evening in Karlsruhe’s Sandkorn Theater, Anne Klausmann was elected as the new first chairwoman of the City Initiative Karlsruhe. The center manager of the Ettlinger Tor Center is taking over the reins from pharmacist Henrik Rohde, who was at the helm of the club for three years. “I am very pleased about the trust of our members and about the continued close cooperation with my colleagues on the board,” said the new first chairwoman Anne Klausmann.
Strong commitment
As a committed and active umbrella organization for trade, gastronomy, hotels, crafts, services, media as well as cultural and leisure facilities in Karlsruhe, looking back on the year we can conclude that the City Initiative has left a successful and at the same time busy year behind it. Some great projects, such as Lounge 76, which attracted hot beats and cool drinks to the Karlsruhe market square in a Mediterranean ambience on selected weekends in the summer, or the voucher system with the Karlsruhe employer and gift voucher, which can now be redeemed at over 400 acceptance points were part of this year. The CIK sees its strengths particularly when it comes to networking. “In the new year, the popular curling at the Stadtwerke Eiszeit in front of Karlsruhe Castle, numerous expert lectures on the topics of health at work or changing trade, a theater performance in the Baden State Theater and a Rhine excursion on the new MS Karlsruhe are planned for the new year “Members of the City Initiative will take place,” explains CIK managing director and city manager Frank Theurer, who is particularly looking forward to the continuation of Lounge 76 in the summer of 2025, again at five Appointments, but then every Friday and Saturday. In 2026, the lounge will be expanded to include the 1st Karlsruhe Wine Festival on five days in collaboration with IG Marktplatz and the city of Karlsruhe.
It was chosen
The main component and therefore the focus of the general meeting was the election of the board. In addition to the new first chairwoman Anne Klausmann, Prof. Dr. Uwe Spetzger as second chairman as well as Marc Krimmel, Benjamin Lindig and Siegfried Weber were re-elected to the board of the City Initiative. Andreas Preißler, who was newly elected to this committee, will complete the board for the next three years. At the same time, the CIK said goodbye to its previous first chairman Henrik Rohde that evening and thanked him for his special commitment.
The advisory board members Simone-Maria Brunner, Susanne Freytag, Uwe Larisch and Gaby Schwebe were re-elected. The CIK advisory board is also strengthened by Julia Kalmbach, Lukas Lindemann, Sebastian Metz and Inka Sarnow, all of whom have been newly elected to the committee. Nadja Ayche, Nicki Gohl and Willy Schmidt were removed from the advisory board. In addition, Petra Lindig and Daniel Juretzky were confirmed in their positions as auditors.
